Blank LCD

Given my lack of soldering skills I was quite surprised that I actually got my HAH LCD to work. Having said that, after a couple of hours it seems to go blank. Does anybody else have this problem or is it just (as I suspected) my poor quality work. If I switch off the box and restart it, it seems to come back on. Maybe it's a temperature thing as the LCD feels warm to the touch. Any one else have this?

Shouldn't get warm

The LCD has no backlight, so should run completely cold. Perhaps a dodgy solder joint? Also, try turning the contrast potentiometer back and forth a few times, in case it's giving an intermittent contact.

did you ever work out what the problem was here? I am currently having the same issue. Thanks.

Not very sure but...

I'm not entirely sure what the issue was but I believe that it was connected to the 1-wire connector. Since removing the 1-wire from my system the LCD has been completely stable. Perhaps the plug which connects the 1-wire to the board was touching the LCD contacts or something.
