Last night my livebox completely wiped itself, all lua, cron, rf settings etc and took on a host name of "knoxbox"
Anybody have any idea how that can happen?
John
If the livebox wiped the .INI file then your hostname won't be found so it will default back to "knoxbox" see /etc/init.d/network
HOSTNAME="`iniget $INI network hostname knoxbox`"
I've never heard of a box wiping itself before without some user interaction initiating it.

I didn't know that the default was "knoxbox" I thought it had been hacked! I couldn't find the box on the network and then found it's IP had changed from my static set up.
No idea what happened. Luckily I have backup files.
