HAH just brought me a cash bonus!
I was just approached by some guys from Intel who are doing some research on monitoring energy and publishing data on the web. The guys at Pachube must have done a search and my datafeed showed up as being long enough with plenty of data in it!
The great thing is they're paying for the time taken for the interview! Think I'll put that money to some HAH expansions.
are yours called Richard Beckwith and Dawn Nafus?
Looks like my suspicions are slightly unfounded :) ---another story.
And yes pachube fronted (but correctly asked me first) me as well......
something or other, even if it is proper server space on the internet with some equipment 24/7/365 powered up for free....
My brother managed to get 10M Euro of VC funding from Intel for his company. He describes the experience of spending lots of somebody else's money as being most enjoyable.
Anyway, they say that there is no such thing as 'bad publicity'!

Make sure you get confirmation this is legit ... ask for an email from their INTEL email account if they say they are from intel. I do find it strange they would use a gmail account even if this was outsourced to a 3rd party.
Sounds dodgy.
Brett
will let you know how it goes and what if anything is "dodgy".

dean
This is legit.
I now have £50 to spend on HAH hardware, wife took other £50 with comment about xmass and how much i have spent recently on cc stuff and my "playing". so added to my secret stash of cash i can now afford to buy some jeenodes a programmer and a cable (along with some LDR's and temp sensor).
Dawn is a really nice lady and very easy to talk too...
i learnt some very interesting things but cannot divulge here "yet".
Dean
Dean, I'd call that a gone well then. NICE! Anybody want to talk to me?
Anyway did advise her that they should employ Derek and Brett as if they worked on HAH (or similar) as a full time job every household would have one by now!
And did you know pachube, currentcost and logmein are all part of the same group?
Do give us a good plug! And tell Intel we could do more if we had some nice venture capital.
