Has anyone used or know what codes the HE830S remote sockets use?

They are 3000w resistive load with a SN: SP021205

not sure

But the set up is identical to the 302's/322's just did a quick ebay and you can buy 10 for £50 on fleabay.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HOME-EASY-10-X-HE322B-ADDITIONAL-REMOTE-CONTRO...

below are some codes to try :) no gaurantee's (but they work on all the different home easy kit i have-including ceiling controllers, doorbells dimmable sockets exterior sockets 12v transformers etc etc)

HE302S with an individual code from the HE200 LCD remote control (pos 3 of 6) in my case the rotary wheel for this remote was set to position A giving A1 to A16 codes i.e. 01010177046504650177060127101900441500 - which is the on code for A6 - this is worked out as follows:-

01010177046504650177060127101 - ignore this part - its essential but we don't need to worry about the content of this as that has already been worked out, it's the next three sections that we need to understand:-

900 = A
44 = 6
1500 = ON

Using the tool - section BBSB RF at http://www.dbzoo.com/public/rf-helper.html will help you to obtain codes A to H 1 to 8 but in my case due to the number of units I need to control I needed to access codes A to P and 1 to 16 - the following is a list of these codes:-

A = 900  B = 940  C = 910  D = 950  E = 904  F = 944  G = 914  H = 954  I = 901  J = 941  K = 911  L = 951  M = 905  N = 945  O = 915  P = 955

1 = 00  2 = 40  3 = 10  4 = 50  5 = 04  6 = 44  7 = 14  8 = 54  9 = 01  10 = 41  11 = 11  12 = 51  13 = 05  14 = 45  15 = 15  16 = 55

1500 = on  1400 = off

Thirdly I taught each HE302S with the code A16 so that I can control the group with one press (same in effect as pressing one of the wall switches) (pos 4 of 6)

Once the codes from the HE200 have been taught to the HE302S units these are then used in the HAH.

A1 on = 01010177046504650177060127101900001500
A2 on = 01010177046504650177060127101900401500
A3 on = 01010177046504650177060127101900101500
A4 on = 01010177046504650177060127101900501500
A5 on = 01010177046504650177060127101900041500
A6 on = 01010177046504650177060127101900441500
A7 on = 01010177046504650177060127101900141500
A8 on = 01010177046504650177060127101900541500
A1 off = 01010177046504650177060127101900001400
A2 off = 01010177046504650177060127101900401400
A3 off = 01010177046504650177060127101900101400
A4 off = 01010177046504650177060127101900501400
A5 off = 01010177046504650177060127101900041400
A6 off = 01010177046504650177060127101900441400
A7 off = 01010177046504650177060127101900141400

Thanks

Thanks Dean

I'd found those and had a go without success. I'll try a bit harder.

Unfortunately I don't have a remote so I was hoping to program the sockets by teaching them with the box.

Picked 'em up cheap on fleabay so just playing a the moment. I'll persevere!

sorry just remembered

Some of my units only respond to B codes up (not A for some strange reason)

hope that helps.

Hi allanayrDid you have any

Hi allanayr

Did you have any luck getting these working?

just picked up a pack of 3 at B&Q

no luck so far with A or B codes for the BBSB and HE330S V2 codes

Thanks Andrew

No joy yet I'm afraid.

No joy yet I'm afraid.

I didn't have a remote for these and couldn't get them to respond to any codes generated by the box.

I've picked up a remote from ebay and noticed something quite strange about these sockets. They seem to only respond to the "all on" or "all off" button on the remote. Either of these will switch the sockets on and any of the "off" buttons will switch them off. So frankly I'm a bit confused. It doesn't seem to be possible to get the sockets to respond individually so the remote switches them all on or all off at the same time.

I'll maybe get the chance to fiddle around next week sometime and post any results which I come up with.

Some working stuff

OK Here's a couple of codes that I have got to work with these sockets:

on
010103AC012C012C03AC04012710194B2D5E00
off
010103AC012C012C03AC04012710194B2D5900

These were obtained by learning the codes from the RC unit by "listening" in to the RF pulses and then feeding them into the RF helper page.

I used bits/frame 1

Index  HI    LO
0       300 940 µs
1       940 300 µs

4 bursts and 10000 interburst delay  and 25 frames (I think you need to add an extra 0 onto the binary frame definition shown below.

I don't know if anyone uses the RC stuff from:

 http://code.google.com/p/rc-switch/

but here's the output that you get from the advanced receive demo on an arduino:

Decimal: 11850401 (24Bit) Binary: 101101001101001010100001 Tri-State: not applicable PulseLength: 310 microseconds Protocol: 1
Raw data: 9644,912,336,284,956,908,336,896,344,280,960,900,344,280,976,272,960,900,344,896,352,268,972,888,352,268,980,272,972,880,360,256,1012,264,24,24,68,396,460,12,964,280,956,284,956,292,948,904,336,

Decimal: 11850406 (24Bit) Binary: 101101001101001010100110 Tri-State: not applicable PulseLength: 308 microseconds Protocol: 1
Raw data: 9584,920,316,300,940,912,328,908,328,292,948,908,332,288,948,300,944,912,324,912,336,284,952,912,332,288,960,292,956,900,336,288,964,892,340,280,964,896,336,280,944,296,936,912,328,908,332,284,944,

I think that you can disregard the 9000+ number at the beginning that's probably the interburst delay, I think that the rest roughly corresponds to what I got from the "listened" output.

I'll maybe be able to do some more work on this next week SWMBO permitting.

Hope this helps

allanayr, Thats some strange

allanayr,

Thats some strange behavior you are seeing, i have the remote as supplied and once paired with the sockets (2 sec press on the learn button) i can toggle them on / off fairly accurately, however saying that i just tried your sample code below and it worked a treat, actually it seems to control the socket flawless so far prehaps the RX unit in these 830s is superior to older HE sockets, i have both Byrons R3, R17, and HE330V2 and they seem flakey at best.

Stupid question, but what part of the code do i need to change for additional sockets

Thanks

Andrew

Mmmmmmmmm

No, it is absolutely not a stupid question! Indeed, that's the big question for me. I've only found 2 codes that switch them on and several that switch them off. Trouble is, it seems to be an all or nothing code because the sockets I have will only learn the "all on" or "all off" codes from my BBSB remote. So unfortunately, at the moment, I can't really work out which part of the code is the "unit address".

Maybe some trial and error testing next week will reveal more information.

Ahh i see, sorry

I dont have my scope rigged up at the moment so i cant measure the output that easily, not for a few weeks anyway

did you pick up one of these remotes?

No

I freely admit that the remote that I have is not the correct one. I got one of these:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271107063376?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=...

So it's not entirely a surprise that it doesn't work quite right. I had thought, however, that there was some commonality with the HE BBSB famliy of kit and that I should be able to find some working code without too much trouble. :-(

Still, a good enought excuse to play around with the kit I suppose.

Let me know how you get on, i could always arrange to pop my official remote in the post to you to read the codes off.

More

Here's some more working stuff for these sockets. Three codes which work the sockets independently are as follows:

ON
010103AC012C012C03AC04012710194B2B4C00
010103AC012C012C03AC04012710194B2C4C00
010103AC012C012C03AC04012710194B2D4C00
OFF
010103AC012C012C03AC04012710194B2B4B00
010103AC012C012C03AC04012710194B2C4B00
010103AC012C012C03AC04012710194B2D4B00

I'm sure you can work out from the above which digits affect the operation. 5th from the end seems to be an address code which allows individual addressing of sockets and 3rd from the end seems to be the on/off switch.

The code which I gave above will also still do an "all on" or "all off" override of the sockets programmed with these codes.

On a side note, I don't know if anyone else has experienced this but my internet connection has become very unreliable of late. My router still thinks it has a connection but I can't access the internet at all. Having extensively tested these codes this morning I'm beginning to wonder if the frequent use of the RF transmitter (which is right next to my router) may be the cause of this problem. My internet connection crashes almost daily and only a reboot of the router will get it back online agian.

I admit that I was firing off loads of RF today during testing but my internet died this morning at 11:30 without me noticing and with no indication that anything was wrong.

Has anyone else experienced this?

RF SOCKETS

Does anyone use rf sockets that respond to HAH and have an override switch. I have some Home Easy sockets that work but don't have this facility. Awkward when you just want to switch on a lamp locally. I also have the Asda sockets but they suffer from dementia.

thanks

Lidl sockets

I use these ones.

http://www.homeautomationhub.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/product_...

They were the very first type of RF socket that the HAH supported. Trainable and with a local on/off button. They were a bit pricey, bought a few years ago when Brett & I did a visit to the Lidl near to Wimbledon and got rather a lot of these.

Are they a standard item in Lidl or just occasional special offer? I've visited several Lidl stores here in NI and have never found them.

John,

these are special offers now and again, also sold at aldi sometimes.

i use these and find them great, very reliable. Buy from eBay if I see them as lidl and aldi not had any for a while.

Thanks for the info, but how are they described on Ebay. Are they sold as Lidl sockets or as some other clone name?

This sort of box

John,

These are only occasionally in Lidl. If searching eBay, the box should look like the ones in this picture http://www.flickr.com/photos/kenned/8297857968/sizes/l/in/photostream/

greyish boxes stacked against the back corner wall. 4 sockets and a remote. Only three really usable as the 'dimmer' one is not easily controlled.

Derek.

SWMBO made me spend all yesterday tidying up both my workshop's and our utility room!!

I have one for electronic's/computer "playing as she puts it"

and 1 for mechanical.

must admit you couldnt get in one of them :) let alone sit down.

six runs to the tip with stuff i have not touched for 5 years.  there were tears in my eyes.
