How do you mount the LCD?
Now I have the HAH board working (and thanks to all the people who helped me through that last push yesterday) I turned my head to reassembly and where to mount the LCD. Originally I thought the LCD simply displayed the IP address which is nice but nothing really useful. I now realise the HAH board is far more powerful then this so have rethought about putting the LCD into the case.
It appears from the shop that the inner-case can be milled to form a nice rectangular hole through which the LCD can be mounted. This implies that the outer shell is not used and is discarded. I'm happy to pay Derek to mill the hole out but was interested in what other options peope had dreamt up.
Is this the case (no pun indended)? What have other people done?
Rob.
The annoying thing about LCD mounts is that it's very hard to do neatly unless you have specialised machining kit.
If you do want to do something unique, it might be better to start off with an existing enclosed LCD and work from there.
Cheers,
Derek.
I use virtual lcd with the original glue gunned inside a custom box and used for diagnosis only.
