280 has been released - this is a merge of the BETA branch back in to the trunk.

Something I've only just started working on but all the code is there in the 280 release.

Joggler control of a JeeNode using the HAH as the controller.  Remote RF control here we come!

This sounds great!

This should really open up functionality Brett,Derek, well done!

Just to clarify, can I upgrade to this on devices without the new 328 chip? And does this include the new LUA framework?  i.e. will all existing scripts need to be reworked?

M8 not needed

The JeeNode stuff does not interact with the HAH AVR at all, its chip agnostic.

Build 280 is a merge of the 279.x beta branch so if you have been on this BETA stream the script don't need touching for 280 if however you are upgrading from 279 then YES most definately the scripts need a small re-write.  A little pain. The good news is there are pleny of samples and documentation on how the new LUA engine works.

A snapshot of a battery powered JeeNode that will eventually get saddled with a temp sensor and a LDR.

Old samples

Hi Brett,

Right that's blown all my scripts!  As predicted.  Unfortunately all the samples are written in old stylee and don't offer much help.

The write up on the Wiki is beyond my understanding and may as well be written in Swahele.

If you get a minute could you message me some newer samples if you have any? So that I may convert some of my scripts( All of which were based on your old samples with a few tweaks ehere and there).

Cheers

Gary

The samples

If you check the /etc_ro_fs/etc/plugboards/samples directory you will find all the scripts have been updated to the new syntax.

WinSCP

OK, couldn't see that folder through WinSCP until I dug a lot deeper.

I've been working in /etc/plugboard/samples.

should I be putting new applets into this folder or continue in the old one.  I imagine there's some sort of symlink or something, as I had noticed the plugboard did try to load my new applet?

These samples look great, you've even done my Airytech script.  Plenty to be getting on with, thanks Brett.

Lua applet folder

new style Lua applets still go into the /etc/plugboard folder as previously.

Its takes a bit of time getting used to the new syntax but I find it much better now i've down a few. I'm sure there is still more potential I don't know about yet, time to learn some more lua I think!!

Garry.
