RF Device List

Hi,
Is there a list of RF devices anywhere that I can use?
I thought I saw one, but I have been looking but can't seem to find it.
Thanks

Caveat on 'Status' brand units
Yes. These are the ones. If you have a decent sized ASDA store, spin by and pick these up for £5. However, note a big(ish) limitation on these parts. If you lose mains power to the socket for more than a few tens of seconds, the unit will 'forget' the RF code that it has been trained to respond to.
This is perhaps because the very cheap circuit in these units has no EEPROM storage - they seem to rely on continuous power to persist the trained data.
The Lidl units in our shop don't have this issue.
Derek.
Hi Dan,
As things stand, you can only use one of two supported protocols. The protocol that you can use is tied to the type of AVR firmware that you have. If you have the 'Lidl' firmware, then the sockets that are available from the HAH shop will work. If you have the BBSB, you can use the Bye Bye Standby sockets. The BBSB protocol is also supported by some of the Home Easy RF receivers ... but only the parts that use the 'simple' version of the HE protocol.
See http://www.dbzoo.com/livebox/hah#additional_control_hardware for some examples.
Once we release the 'Generic RF Tx' AVR chip, it will be possible to control a much wider range of device types ... all from the same AVR device. We've already got the Lidl, BBSB and HE 'long' protocol working. Have also decoded the 'Status' brand which are available at Asda stores and some little RF nightlights which Lidl sell.
The generic RF has been designed to allow us to emulate the RF signal from most any 433MHz device. Adding support for a new device type does need a 'scope and a little bit of effort, but isn't too hard.
Derek.
