What should my hysteresis setting be in the CurrentCost and Pachube settings to get a full 'real-time' view?

On one of my boxes I'm experimenting with clamps but get period of the same value being uploaded. I'd like to understand if this is hysteresis or a box problem?

I've got most things up and running (Thanks Derek for the quick posting of my kit). All fine except....

I don't see any info in the GUI page on local network or using external ip. I'm sure I did once see data there but may have imagined it :)

I've read through the wiki but not gleaned anything. I've had a look through the various files but don't see anything wrong.

Any pointers?

OK so I just flashed a livebox and its running HAH latest firmware image connected to edf ecomanager. I can see the whole house transmitter values being read through xfx and can upload to Pachube (Cosm) and all works.

When I select the graph (I have only 1) from the GUI it just says "no data available"

Any clues anyone?

Hi everyone. I'm new here, this is my first post!

I recently purchased 2 Hahs on eBay and have been experimenting with them over the last couple of weeks. 

Ive had a few issues uploading data from my currentcost reliably, but I'm thinking more and more this is an ISP Issue (BT) .

Just wondering if someone can offer some help on wether obtaining a log file from crontab is possible. I infrequently get crontab dying and cannot link it to anything obvious. 

I have read about modifying the syslog.conf file but this doesn't seem to exist on HAH.

Is this possible?

I have just found this site, very interesting.

My question is will the Orange Livebox work with a Virgin Media cable connection, or will I have to go down a different route for any home automation connection.

Any info on this greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I was working through some ideas about connecting different types of nodes together via XAP. I looked at the specification for XAP and realised that the concept of authentication of nodes didn't seem to exist.

As far as I can see nodes exist on a network and there is nothing to stop another 'rogue' node being introduced and causing mayhem, havoc or damage. e.g. they could switch lights on and off, send SMS's and generally make life a pain.

With a solution to intergarting the WH1080 not seeming to be a simple plug and play task....

I got thinking, my house in the UK is ran by homeseer, mainlobby, with an rfxcom ethernet transceiver along with a number of Oregon Scientific temp and humidity sensors to give me room temps etc.

I have just built my HAH (306 build), and have been playing. When I got around to googlecal I was up and runing right away.

Then, I noticed that the GUI was reporting date/time @ UTC, so I went ahead and changed /etc/TZ to GMT0BST-1 as we are now in BST (i will add the changeover dates/times later and retest). This fixed my time in the O/S and GUI and my HAH now reports the UK date/time.

Anyhow - my googlecal stopped working (as it should have worked).

I can only get 10 feeds working anyone else have or had this problem?
