Firmware update 306

in

After 6 weeks without an internet connection I finally got back online last Friday. Having done so, I (perhaps foolishly) set about updating everything at once including my HAH box.

Since then my boiler control applet, which has worked faultlessly for several weeks, has failed to maintain it's RF link with my boiler on a couple of occasions. It sends the boiler code every minute by URF. Has anyone else had problems with URF since the latest upgrade?

P.S I upgraded from 302 straight to 306

HAH not updating to BST

in

I am in the UK and clocks have just gone forward 1 hour to BST but HAH GUI reports old time as does the "date" command on the command line.  My Time Server is set to uk.pool.ntp.org and the /etc/TZ file contained GMT0BST-1 .  I have tried varying this setting and rebooting, but the time does not change.  Also I tried the command line TZ="GMT0BST" date or TZ="GMT0BST-1" date or TZ="GMT0BST+1" date and they all report the same date & time (i.e. 1 hour out).  I have started the Googlecal service as someone else suggested and this did not help.

So what software tools do you use with your Livebox

in

I am thinking of Text Editors, FTP programs, Telnet clients, Browsers

My desktop is normaly a Windows XP system, I use :-

Textpad for editing LUA scripts, ini files and text files

FTPWanderer for FTP file transfer

Putty or PuttyTel for Telnet sessions or watching a serial port

IE8 as my normal Browser, Chrome when that does not work properly

I am not saying these are the best, no sneery comments about "my xx is better" please, they are just what I am using right now

What do you use?

Crontab

in

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but a couple of times recently my crontab file has just disappered. It was working OK at 7 am today but when I went in to edit it at 8 am the whole file had vanished.

I'll keep an eye out and report any further occurrences.

Cron debug?

in
Hi all, About once a week my Cron scheduler bugs out and stops running and I then cannot see it running when I do a PS in telnet. If I restart in the GUI all is well for a while. I can't understand this as i don't change the Cron file and it will run for a few days. No problems. Is there a way to get a debug log etc?? Or any advice on how to track its issue? Cheers Garry
