I have an old ATMega 328 with v2.4 firmware on it I think. I'd like to use it to make a breadboard arduino but I can't get it to accept any programming, presumably because it doesn't have the bootloader set up correctly. Is it possible to rehabilitate it (with out buying a £25 programmer) or should I just bin it and buy a new chip?

I know that the time synchs as the box boots up but this relys on an internet connection being available at boot time. Unfortunately, my internet connection takes ages to establish and the box is up before the connection exists. I'd like to put a command in the cron file to do a time synch at 00:10 on 1st January so that the box can get a time update if there has been a power cut.

Can anyone point me in the direction of how to do this? ntpdate doesn't seem to be installed.

Had a good search but couldnt find how, im hoping to run the xAPFlash.swf application locally on my Joggler with a 12.10 Unbuntu build
even with all the xml and image files in the same location the swf displays partial, tried copying all files into same location as joggler i.e media\appshop\xap and usr\share\flash
any suggestions??

p.s i dont want to run via a web browser, my aim was to just use an SWF viewer and keep all files local.

I your like me and struggle to get a wired LAN cable to where you want your livebox to be. This is a great solution. 

I plug mine into a powered USB hub and it works great. Livebox can now be placed anywhere!

Just been reading through the IOS6 features which launches on 19th Sept and noticed that SIRI will now send tweets via voice command.

Assuming this works OK then this feature easily opens the door to voice control on the HAH.

Simply speaking "tweet House lamps on" or "tweet house thermostat 19" should in theory produce an alias message that can be interpreted by a modified alias lua script.

I'm gonna make it my next project when IOS6 ships. I'll keep you posted!.

I'm currently putting together a roomnode with an ultrasonic module in an effort to measure oil depth in my tank.

Not very linux literate and have scoured the net..chmod etc with no success.

Can anyone tell me how to add write permission to USR/SHARE/FLASH so that I can add my own graphics files.

I seem to recall "someone" developed a script to read the pulses from a gas meter using a ccdev board?

I have recently (today) got a small din rail meter to measure cumulative KWh and i am planning on putting it on my immersion pv system so i can see how much eleccy i am putting into immersion.

Now the intresting bit i have a spare cc dev board and am planning on integrating it to the pulse output. It does 2000 pulses per KWh.

When I run in debug mode I get the following report.

I have an EnviR connected to a HAH. It has nothing paired except a single OptiSmart to Ch9. The problem is I cant seem to get this data to post to COSM. Can anyone give me any pointers?

The temp chnnel is updating OK, so I know the HAH can see the EnviR and get data from it.
