Other questions about the HAH platform

Authenticated saves using TextWrangler

in

This one for Brett I suspect,

I'm quite happy using nano to edit files directly on the HAH (BBB version) but recently I tried using Textwrangler to edit a file. I can estabish a connection and see all the files but if I try to write, I get...

You have insufficient permissions to perform this operation on the server (application error code: 22803)

iServer Help

in

Last week for some unknown reason iServer suddenly stopped working on my HAH.

It's been working fine and out of the blue just stopped.

Restarting it manually gets the following...

#  iServer -i br0 -d 9

iServer for xAP v12

/var/xap-xively.log. error messages

in

I am getting the errors below in the /var/xap-xively.log.

The strange thing is, xively is still being updated but twitter stops working (no errors in the twitter log). This is happening 3 -4 times a month.

If I restart xively, no change. If I power cycle HAH all is working again.

[Solved] Error 1001.Input String was not in the correct format

in

I received the above error trying to install any version of XfXViewer or the Hub onto Win7 x64 desktop.

I knew the apps ran on Win7 as they are on my laptop.

Apparently this is caused by inconsistent performance counters.

By running:

lodctr /R

in a command window resolves the issue.

Deletelasttweet missing in portable

in

Brett,

Have recently noticed that whilst twitter is working it's not deleting last tweet. Looking at repo the portable branch missing this .c file? Is this correct?

I will try adding and remaking but just wondered as it may affect others using portable version.

thanks

Garry.

EDIT: just noticed this is test code only so doesn't explain lack of tweet deletion. Twitter messing again? I'll have a dig

OpenHAB

in

Someone a while ago said I should look at OpenHAB.

I did look at this and I thought, hmm that's interesting.  At the time I could not find a Java based xAP framework which you are going to need before you even think about integrating with this.  After much deliberation I finally got around to writing one.  Its a little LUA like in its API calls just because familarity breeds content and the API has worked so well.

A very simple demo that uses the framework is posted below.

xbmc xap

in

I found this interesting link I think that with some modifications for those who practice python, the code is very nested but it must be possible to discuss our live box with xbmc wear real .do you think?

Adding support for BB-view

in

I have a 4" BB-View LCD touchscreen. I have tried the sample code but would like to include the required files into the BBB kernel. I have found a few write ups on how to do this but they all require a recompile of the kernel

http://www.element14.com/community/thread/31051/l/how-to-bb-view-on-late...

I would really rather not do this. Surely there is a way to add the required files and do a rebuild or update......

I'm thinking this is a question for Brett :)
